Due to the natural variety Berezinsky reserve is unique and has no analogues in Europe (approved by UNESCO in 1979).
One of the most beautiful places in Belarus, located in the northwest of the country, at 250 km from Minsk and covers the territory about 70 000 hectars. This is a unique area of woods in Europe with the last remnants of once enormous flat virgin forests with relic plants and animals, the Europien bison in the first place.The first mentioning of these woods in the Yepatiev Chronicle is dated by the year 983, the regiment close to that of a forest reserve was introduced here in early XI century
