Day 1
Arrival in Minsk. City tour of Minsk (founded in 1067) includes Independence square, House of Government and "Red" Roman-Catholic Church, Victory Square, Troitskoye Predmestye (Trinity Suburb) - restored downtown of Minsk in the 19th century, Holy Trinity Cathedral and St. Catherin's Church (17th century). Lunch. Visit to the open-air museum of folk architecture and housing in Ozertso (18 km from Minsk). Village constructions having been kept up from previous centuries till nowadays introduce the rural style of life in different parts of old Belarus. Dinner at a local restaurants of Minsk.
Day 2
Breakfast. Departure to Pinsk, "the capital" of Polessye. On the way visit to the museum of T. Kostyushko, Belarusian-Polish revolutionary, the hero of the French revolution and hero of the Civil war between the South and the North in the USA. Arrival in Pinsk. Sightseeing tour. Visit to the historical centre of the city Detinets, the place where the ancient town was born, Collegium (17cent.), St. Francis Monastery (17-18 cent.),the Butrimovichs Palace, St. Barbara Orthodox Church, Karl Baromey Catholic Churches, the river Pina quay. Evening sailing along the river Pina. Folklore show on board the boat. Dinner-picnic
Day 3
Breakfast. Departure to the village of Motol and visit to the Museum of folk mode of life, art and handicrafts. Acquaintance with the way of life, customs, ceremonies and traditions of Belarusian country people. The performance of the folk group "Motol Neighbours". Tasting herbal tea with "karavai" (a big round sweet white loaf baked for holidays). Acquaintance with local craftsmen, watching the process of manufacturing. Acquiring souvenirs - articles of handicrafts. Departure to the village of Bezdezh. Visit to the Museum of people's art. Acquaintance with the art of weaving and embroidering, with the process of manufacturing of weaving articles. Folklore performance. Acquaintance with the local craftsmen manufacturing straw and wood articles. Arrival in farmstead of Sporovo, where friendly hosts will organize hospitable reception in the farm and acquaintance with the surroundings. Lunch in the island of the lake.
Day 5
Breakfast. Departure to Turov - the center of Pripyatsky Hydrological Reserve. On the way visit to David-gorodok, the ancient capital of Gorodetsky Dutchy. Arrival in Turov. Sightseeing tour. Visit to the museum of Nature. Sailing along the pic- turesque river Pripyat. Lunch-picnic. Departure to Minsk.
